About Water Valley, MS - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

The City of Water Valley, Mississippi is found in Yalobusha County, and as of 2010, about 3,400 people lived within the city limits. Found in the North Mississippi hills, about 25 miles south of Oxford, Water Valley is only 85 miles south of Memphis, Tennessee.  The city is served by the Water Valley School District, and new residents may be attracted to the community for its bargain real estate.

Despite the small size of the city, there are several interesting places to visit in Water Valley. Yalo Studio showcases quirky artists and photographers, and nearby Bozart’s Gallery offers a collective of over a dozen Mississippi artists. Visitors may enjoy an afternoon pint at the Yalobusha Brewing Company. The B.T.C. Old-Fashioned Grocery and Café is located on Main Street and is a popular place to grab lunch, while the Crawdad Hole provides a laid-back dinner destination.

Seasonal weather conditions affect Water Valley throughout the year. Winters here are cold and wet, although the season tends to be short. Snowfall is minimal, although historically, ice storms have been known to affect the area.  On cold days when residents are more likely to be cooped up inside, air quality concerns may arise, but fortunately, the right heat pump or furnace system can remove dust, dirt, and allergens before it circulates indoors.

Summers in Water Valley are typical of the Deep South, and they offer high temperatures and humidity levels. With thermostat readings that often surpass 90 degrees Fahrenheit and muggy air, staying cool is a priority throughout the season. While heat pumps are gaining in popularity, traditional central air conditioning systems are also prominent in Water Valley homes and businesses. Certain efficiency features can boost A/C system performance and save on energy bills, include variable speed options, thermal expansion valves, filter change lights, and fan-only switches.
