About Batesville, MS - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Batesville, Mississippi is a city found in Panola County. As of 2010, nearly 7,500 people resided here. Batesville is found in northwestern Mississippi, and it is found 30 miles west of Oxford and about 60 miles south of Memphis, Tennessee.  The community was founded in the 1850s after the construction of the local Mississippi and Tennessee Railroad. Today, rail service is provided here by the Granada Railway, and local education is serviced by the South Panola School District.

Batesville is primarily a residential community, but there are some noteworthy businesses and places to visit here, as well. Golf is available at the Panola Country Club, and the Batesville Civic Center hosts many events throughout the year. There are many restaurants in the city that can please even the pickiest of eaters, such as Dixieland BBQ, Bread and Butter Bistro, the Burger Shop on the Square, and Little Taste of Chicago. Shopping is also plentiful in Batesville at locations like Factory Stores at Batesville, Talk of the Town, Wal-Mart, and the Batesville Pawn Shop.

Residents of Batesville need to be prepared for varied weather conditions throughout the year. Fortunately, winters here are milder than other parts of the country, and the season tends to be short. Rainy weather with temperatures in the 50s is common, it is still important to have a reliable heating system in place at home. A furnace with a high AFUE rating can warm indoor temperatures while minimizing heating costs.

Summers in Batesville are hot with high humidity, and they tend to be long in duration. Temperatures into the 90s are common, and sunny skies and high dew points can sometimes lead to dangerous outdoor conditions. Central air conditioning is a popular cooling method for homes and businesses, cooling an entire space efficiently. However, heat pumps are also gaining in popularity, as these systems can be used at any time of the year to provide either heating or cooling.
